WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM & WHAT IS THE HISTORY

The 151's brand of clothing was started by ex-Sidecar World Superbike racer Rob Cameron. The brand name was a simple one to choose!

ALTHOUGH THE PRODUCT WAS FIRST USED FOR MOTORCYCLE RACING IT IS NOW BEING USED BY CUSTOMERS FROM ALL MANNER OF SPORT, WALKING, JOGGING, GYMNASIUM, KYAK, MOUNTAIN BIKE, CYCLING, HIKING, DIVING, RUNNING, TRIATHLON, ROWING, KICK BOXING, GOLF, SHOOTING AND MUCH MORE!

Rob's grandfather raced for TRIUMPH as a Factory/Works rider SAND RACING. His number was 151, Rob's father "Mike Cameron" rode Trials solo & sidecar plus Grasstrack both solo & Sidecar. His racing career was haulted after a big accident while competing in 1992 British Championship Qualifier on a sidecar Grasstrack outfit, Mikes racing number was 151.

Rob has been riding motorcycles since the age of 4 and still competes at a more sedate pace riding in the Sammy Miller British Sidecar trials Championship winning in 2008 & 2011.

Rob raced using the 151 plate as a factory/ works supported racer for GODDEN (at the time current World Longtrack & Grasstrack British Champions) plus two years for a smaller factory in Sevenokas, Kent BRM GM grasstrack/Speedway. After Rob's father Mike had to retire from racing Rob took over the 151 number when transfering his skills to Sidecar Speedway & Grasstrack class again using V-Twin 1000cc GODDEN power with much success.

1994 saw the transition to sidecar road racing where Rob competed at British Championship & Isle of Man TT until moving onto World Championships with the World Superbikes. Rob retired from this level in 2003. He did race a brand new Replica Classic BMW sidecar 2006-2008.

After being involved with racing so much it was noticed there are many suppliers to the race world it was thought a value for money approach was needed for the modern day racer. The 151's compression tops & pants have been an outstanding success currently being used by racers/riders in most motorcycle sports from Moto3, Moto2, Superbike, Supersport, to Club racers on a budget. You don't have to be a professional racer to enjoy the benefits of 151s compression clothing though, as they also work for road riders too. You get the exact same product that the professionals on track use.

2017-2022 BSB Champions, Isle of Man TT Winners & past World Sidecar champions along with 8 of the top 10 in 2017 BSB Moto3 British Championships all wear 151's clothing.

2017 European Grasstrack Champion James Shanes & 2nd Edward Kennett both using 151s.

More & more wearing 151's brand every week!

Today 151s continues to operate as a family run business, with a look to introduce some exciting new product lines, including gym-wear & retro-wear.
